description
Every now and again an extremely rare occurrence happens and this snapshot in time is a perfect example of this. An open Spondylus spinosus was the most unlikely of resting places for a Micraster cortestudinarium. Looking at this incredible fossil there seems barely room for the Echinoid to fit. This is a seriously rare chalk fossil and the chances of another one are very remote indeed. This fossil is worthy of the world's finest collections.
