description
52 million years ago the South East of England was covered by a warm shallow sea. Within the sea swam this large and well known shark. The tooth is pathological which means it was either damaged in life or the shark suffered from a genetic deformity. The tooth is extremely well preserved showing the nature of this deformity. A fabulous example !!!
