A fine outstretched example of this rare and early lung fish. The distinguishing feature of this well known fish are its fins and tail. The tail in this specimen is very well preserved. Collectors of fish will know how rare and fine this specimen is. A great addition to any fossil fish collection.
From the very same shores where the world famous Mary Anning used to collect, comes this fine and beautifully preserved single ichthyosaur vertebra. The vertebra is matrix free and is of very good quality. A Lovely drawer specimen. Approximately 200 million years old.
Bird remains are probably the rarest fossils to be found on the Isle of Sheppey due to the bones being so fragile and not many birds were present at that time. This is a long wing bone that has been prepared from the edge of a nodule. There is also preserved a large bone which could be part of the pelvic region. A very interesting and extremely rare fossil. One for the collector.
