This classic zonal ammonite has been preserved in solid pyrite and was discovered in 1991 from this classic site on the river Brue. The keel is sharp all the way round and the centre immaculate. An important addition for the collector. Approximately 195 million years old. Fully prepared specimen.
A fantastic and rare example to see an Arnioceras with a clear bite taken out of it, either by a Dapedium or Furo, two predatory fish around at this time. A very interesting study fossil. Approximately 200 million years old.
