A lovely and well preserved Pentacrinites head showing arms with attached pinnules. The specimen has been preserved in stone and not pyrite. Crinoid fossils from this world famous locality are becoming increasingly scarse. Approximately 200 million years old.
This beach collected specimen has wonderful markings which are characteristic of this well known Cretaceous sponge. This is one of the finest examples of the species we have seen and will enhance any collection and would also make a great conversational piece to guess what it is !!!
