A lovely example which has been ground into a tablet shape and all sides have been highly polished. The detail within the ammonites is wonderful, especially under magnification. The white line around each ammonite is the original shell preserved. This iconic material is rare indeed and these are amongst the most popular Liassic ammonites Promicroceras marstonense. Approximately 200 million years old. A very nice collectors piece.
